A most useful booklet

A special booklet of prayers has been published as a supplementary resource for those who have pledged, or plan to pledge, an hour of Silent Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament in conjunction with the Year For Priests.

A Private Book of Prayers for Priests is priced at RM3 to cover costs and is available from the Parish Office and also after all weekend masses.

The full-colour 32-page booklet is beautifully illustrated and includes such prayers as the Litany of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Priest and Victim; a Daily Offering for Vocations; A Marian Prayer for Priests; and many more.

Several stamped copies have been placed in the Santa Maria della Strada Chapel for use by parishioners during their respective Hour of Silent Adoration; kindly note that these are not to be removed from the chapel.

God Bless and may you have a fulfilling Hour of Silent Adoration.

  1. Hi,

My 1 hour is this saturday. I'm really excited! I have the prayer book already, but there are so many prayers in it - how should i pick and choose?

    Thanks!

  2. Dear Susan, we are delighted to have you with us on this endeavour. May we suggest that you include the Litany of Our Lord Jesus Christ (it is several pages long in the booklet) as it is one of the key prayers being used worldwide during the Year for Priests.

As for the others, you may wish to read through the contents of the booklet prior to your one hour and choose those prayers that touch you in some way.

There is no set order in which any of the prayers need to be prayed ... follow your heart and let the Spirit guide you. You don't even have to stick to the booklet all the time; you may have particular prayer intentions for particular Religious persons or for our priests to remain strong and exemplary in these trying times for our nation.

All the best and God bless.
